Green Vegetable Puree

Home   Nourishing Blog   Green Vegetable Puree

The Green Machine! Try this green blend for a nutritious vegetable puree.

A delicious and nutritious blend of green veggies for your precious bub.

This yummy combination is packed with nutrients to give your bub the nutritious start they need. The blend of veggies in this recipe for our Green Machine Vegetable Puree provides a nice hit of protein thanks to the peas, as well as fibre which is great for keeping things moving through their digestive systems.

The presence of vitamin C and Vitamin K is great for a baby’s immature immune system and vitamin B6 plays a role in the development of bub’s brain and nervous system.

As Peas, Zucchini and Broccoli are all particularly good sources of vitamin K, the addition of avocado ensures the absorption of this fat-soluble nutrient, as well as providing its own healthy dose of vitamin E, which also acts to strengthen the immune system by acting as an antioxidant.

  2. Remove from heat and add avocado then mash using a fork to create a lumpy puree*.

  3. Check temperature before feeding to bub.

  4. *If your bub has not progressed from smooth purees, you may need to use a hand blender to create a smoother texture.
