This Iron-Rich Puree is a nourishing, textured meal designed to support bub as they progress beyond smooth purees and begin exploring lumpier foods. Combining grass-fed beef, broccoli, wholemeal pasta, creamy avocado and parmesan, this wholesome bowl is packed with flavour and important nutrients to help fuel healthy growth and development during the exciting early stages of eating.
Grass-fed beef is one of the best natural sources of haem iron, the type of iron that is most easily absorbed by the body. Iron is especially important from around 6 months of age as this is when bub’s iron stores start to deplete. It helps to support healthy brain development, energy production and healthy red blood cells. Beef also provides high-quality protein and zinc, which are essential for healthy muscles and tissues and boosting immunity.
Wholemeal pasta provides complex carbohydrates and non-haem iron for steady energy while broccoli adds vitamin C to help enhance the absorption of iron from plant foods like wholemeal pasta.
Creamy avocado contributes healthy fats that support brain development and parmesan cheese provides calcium and protein to help build strong bones, teeth and muscles.
