Ingredients

  • 3 sheets Frozen Puff Pastry
  • 500g Pork Mince
  • 1 red onion, finely diced (optional)
  • 4 x Nourishing Bubs Apple Cubes, defrosted
  • 4 x Nourishing Bubs Carrot Cubes, defrosted
  • 1 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Place sheets of pastry on the bench and cut each one in half so you end up with 6 rectangular pieces of pastry. Allow to soften slightly while you prepare the filling.
  2. Place pork mince, Nourishing Bubs Apple puree, Nourishing Bubs Carrot puree, salt (if using) and red onion (if using) into a medium sized bowl and mix well to combine.
  3. Place filling lengthways down the middle of the pastry, being careful not to put too much filling that you can’t pinch the edges of the pastry together and seal the sausage roll.
  4. Chop each strip into 4 pieces, then brush with egg. Sprinkle with fennel seeds. Place seal side down on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  5. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
