This Fish and Chips for Bub recipe uses barramundi fish fingers to deliver a healthy dose of protein and omega-3s, supporting brain and muscle development. Paired with potato chips, it’s a fun, BLW-friendly meal that’s easy to make and packed with nutrients for growing bubs. Perfect for a quick and nourishing dinner!

Ingredients

  • 4x Nourishing Bubs Australian Barramundi Puree blocks, defrosted
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 ½ tbsp fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ potato, peeled

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray
  2. Cut the potato into large spears (at least two fingers width). Bring a small pot of water to a boil and add the potato. Boil until softened but still maintains shape
  3. Add all other ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined. Take a tablespoon of mixture at a time and roll and mould into a fish finger (two fingers wide). Place on the baking tray and repeat with remaining mixture.
  4. Add the boiled potato spears (chips) onto the baking tray. Spray with extra virgin olive oil and cook for 20 mins, flipping at halfway.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
