Turkey Bites

Home   Nourishing Blog   Turkey Bites

These scrumptious turkey bites are a great alternative to your regular meatballs. They are delicious served on their own, with a yoghurt and mint dipping sauce or inside a tasty bun as mini burger patties. We love to just add our Brown Fried Rice!

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl and mix to combine. It is often easier to do this with your hands to really evenly distribute the mixture.

  2. Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and then flatten slightly. Repeat with remaining mixture.

  3. Heat a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add enough olive oil to cover base of pan. Once oil is hot, add batches of turkey bites cooking for 3-4 minutes each side or until well browned and cooked through when testing one.

  4. Cooked meatballs can be kept warm in a preheated 150°C oven while you cook remaining batches.

Recipe Note

For egg allergy, just leave out the egg, it helps bind the mixture but is not necessary.

Cooked meatballs can be frozen and simply reheated in the oven when required.
