It includes dates which are not only an essential source of fibre, vitamins and minerals but also contain natural sugars to provide long-lasting energy for active little bodies. The natural peanut butter in this recipe is rich in healthy fats which are important for healthy brain development and heart health.
Lastly, this toddler snack is made with cacao, the unprocessed and unsweetened version of cocoa. Cacao is rich in minerals like iron and magnesium as well as antioxidants, all of which are important for overall healthy growth and development.

This easy 4 ingredient energy-packed snack is a nutritious way to sneak in some veggies and extra nutrition into bub’s diet.
2 x 25g Nourishing Bubs Zucchini cubes
5-6 Medjool dates, pitted
2 tbsp of natural peanut butter
2 tbsp of cacao powder
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Soak dates for 15 mins in warm water to soften them.
Microwave zucchini cubes for 30 seconds.
In a food processor, add dates, zucchini, peanut butter and cacao powder and process all ingredients until dates are smooth.
Place mixture in baking moulds and bake for 15-20 mins, until slightly firm.
Cool 5mins on a wire rack.
