They are perfect for toddlers but also a great option for babies (6 months+) doing baby-led weaning, once each ingredient has been tried and tested separately for any allergies.
The yummy combination is packed with nutrients to give your bub the nutritious start they need. The blend of veggies in this recipe for our Green Machine Fritters provides a nice hit of protein thanks to the peas and eggs, as well as fibre which is great for keeping things moving through their digestive systems.
The presence of Vitamin C and Vitamin K is great for a baby’s immature immune system and vitamin B6 plays a role in the development of bub’s brain and nervous system. As Peas, Zucchini and Broccoli are all particularly good sources of Vitamin K, the addition of avocado ensures the absorption of this fat-soluble nutrient, as well as providing its own healthy dose of vitamin E, which also acts to strengthen the immune system by acting as an antioxidant.
