Ingredients

  • 2x 25g Nourishing Bubs Apple cubes
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp Nourishing Bubs Tree Nut Maintenance Mix
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup smooth natural peanut butter
  • ½ cup plain natural yoghurt
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries (if bub is not yet 12 months, or has not progressed to whole blueberries yet, be sure to mash these with a fork before adding)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, defrost the apple cubes in the microwave until it reaches puree texture.
  3. Add all other ingredients except blueberries, and mix until well combined. Stir through half of the blueberries (mashed if bub is under 12 months).
  4. Pour batter into the lined baking tray and spread evenly. Top with the other half of blueberries and press into the mixture, using the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake for ~40-45mins until cooked through. Cool for 10 mins before slicing.
  6. Optional: To top, mix a tablespoon of yoghurt with a dash of milk to thin it out, and drizzle on top of the cake.
