This veggie puree is a nourishing and tasty way to include more green vegetables at mealtimes. 

The puree mixes sweeter vegetables like sweet potato, sautéed onion and peas with more bitter vegetables like broccoli and spinach to make a nutrient-dense, delicious meal.

The puree features broccoli and spinach which are rich sources of fibre, folate and essential vitamins like C and K for healthy growth. It also includes sweet potato which is packed with vitamin A for healthy eyesight and immune function as well as peas which are a great source of vitamins, minerals and fibre that support bub's healthy development and digestion.

Chunky Winter Veggie Puree

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

  • ¼ cup of diced onion

  • 2 x 25g Nourishing Bubs Broccoli cubes 

  • 2 x 25g Nourishing Bubs Sweet Potato cubes

  • ½ cup of frozen peas

  • ½ cup of baby spinach

  • Dash of warm water to blend (add more for a less chunkier consistency)

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until soft, approximately 5 mins.

  2. Add the vegetable cubes and peas and cook until soft.

  3. Stir in baby spinach.

  4. Add to a blender with a dash of warm water.
